The book the Facts of Life by Gary Soto contains many different short stories. In a sense, each of the ten chapters is a new story. Each of the stories features a Latino teenager living in America. Throughout the book, readers from other cultures realize the Latino children are very similar to children of different cultures. The children, who are the main characters of the stories, are just trying to be “regular” kids with a “regular” life, family, and home.
